inspHire reflects on its time at HIANZ HIRECON24 in Auckland

The Hire Industry Association of New Zealand (HIANZ) is the leading professional membership Association for the Hire Industry in New Zealand. Supporting its members for 40+ years, HIANZ members operate in many different sectors within the hire industry, such as general hire, access, heavy equipment, party and events, as well as their associate supplier members. How? Their mission is to be an advocate of fair play and sustainable business growth through education, training and development.  

On 23rd - 24th July, New Zealand’s biggest hire tradeshow returned, HIANZ HIRECON24, and this year was hosted in Auckland. With 65+ exhibitors, the Viaduct Event Centre was bursting with the latest hire innovations and impressive pieces of equipment. From succession planning talks, a dedicated Q&A session with Rodney Grant, CEO at HIANZ, to seeing the latest and greatest kit in the forklift and rigging competitions, it was a great opportunity to discover what initiatives you can implement to boost your rental business.  

As for inspHire, the team were exhibiting at Stand 21 talking about all things rental software with those who stopped by. Whilst at the event, we also set Steve Newman, Commercial Manager, and Paul Buckley, Senior Account Manager, the task of uncovering the the ins and outs of the New Zealand hire market. What are some the key priorities in the NZ Hire Market at the moment? 

“New Zealand has specific regulations around environmental standards and workplace safety that affect the hire industry. Staying compliant with these laws is essential for business and our software can help with this. Paired with the HIRECON tradeshow, the prestigious Hire Excellence Awards also took place. It was a fantastic evening recognising the hard work and dedication within the New Zealand hire industry, as well as catching up with inspHire customers and meeting new people. Big congratulations to all the winners and nominees, it was great to see so many of our users receive their awards.

 

What are the key elements to the NZ Hire Market when looking at rental software?
